We use a digest format for Food Industry News with short, newsworthy articles. Each issue covers a multitude of topics from trends to management and leadership to healthcare to foodservice to military to institutional. Our magazine is so content rich that having an editorial calendar would take up space used to cover all of the other things we cover. Additionally, we have a liberal editorial support policy for our advertisers, and we believe that telling one of our advertisers that they need to wait for a special issue for us to run a story on their company or new product is contradictory to how we promote and service our advertisers. Editorial calendars also invite short term ad runs which are not nearly as effective in converting business as consistent runs. The majority of our advertisers advertise in every issue.
Food Industry News does not follow an editorial calendar, however, seasonal content is highly desired. Plan all submissions 4-8 weeks prior to publication.
